Is there a better way for Montrealers to celebrate the end of the cold season than an outdoors 5 à 7? Set up at a beautifully-restored warehouse that housed a defunct company by the same name, New City Gas has become Montreal's premiere venue for house music shows. The terrace is boxed in between shipping containers and laid with AstroTurf, while the huge bar sits in the center with couches scattered around. The crowd for the launch featured a who's who of the city's blogosphere and nightlife in-crowd.

For the event, we were treated to custom cocktails from mixologist Lawrence Picard, New Brunswick oysters from Choice Harbour and Veuve Clicquot champagne (it was Yelloweek in town after all). Regardless of how far you work, make sure you hit up New City Gas at least once this summer for a unique 5 à 7 experience.
